KINGSTON – One of the oldest communities in the state, Kingston observes its 325th anniversary as a town in 2019, and work has already begun in planning a year’s worth of commemorative events for all to enjoy.
Established in 1694, Kingston was the sixth New Hampshire town, its Royal Charter granted by King William of England. A committee was created by selectmen to oversee the celebration of its long and distinguished history.
Over a week of festivities and monthly events during the 2019 celebration year. Library Appreciation month, Fire Dept for fire awareness month, Recreation Department for Easter, Halloween, Christmas.
Saturday July 27, 2019 through Sunday August 4, 2019.
Directions, volunteer sign up and list of events are coming.

The craft area will be back in Section 2 of the Kingston Plains this year. Spaces will be assigned and will be clearly marked out and numbered. The spaces will be approximately 10 x 12 feet with no electricity provided in the craft area. You must provide your own tables, chairs, tents or umbrellas and display shelves. Keep in mind that the fair is held rain or shine and plan accordingly.
All items must be handcrafted or grown locally. No resale items will be allowed in the crafter area unless they are items that have been repurposed or “upcycled.” The craft fair will run Saturday from 10 a.m. until closing and Sunday 10 a.m. to a 4:00 p.m. close. Setup time is available on Friday after 3:00 along with each morning from 6 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., all vehicles must be off the Plains by 9:00 a.m. The cost is $30.00 for one day or $50.00 for both days since this year is our 325th birthday celebration. Parking for your vehicle is available at DJ Bakie Elementary School and is within walking distance, we will also have parking at the Sanborn Regional High School, there will be buses that will travel from both the school areas to the plains where the crafter fair will be located.
